The Az-Zahra Ensemble

The Az-Zahra Ensemble is a nasheed group that is dedicated to spreading the love of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad through salawats. They are comprised of seven Muslim women who have committed several years to learning various styles of drumming and salawats.

Led by Shaykh Hisham Kabbani’s daughter, Sajeda, the group has become world-renowned, traveling to many international venues to perform. The photo above was taken at one of their performances before a crowd of over 300,000 young people in Indonesia. 

Recently az-Zahra has been invited by the Morroccan government to perform at the Festival of Sufi Culture in Fez in May 2015. For more information about the group and their plans for the upcoming trip visit:
